INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL SUPERVISOR
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of working experience as an Instrumentation & Control Supervisor or in a related instrumentation and control position.
- Must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong practical experience supervising field instrumentation works.
- Experience in instrumentation equipment installation, hook-ups, loop checks, testing, and related field activities.
- Good knowledge of field instruments and their installation, connection, testing, and commissioning requirements.
- Strong manpower management, task assignment, supervision, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage and monitor instrumentation technicians and workers effectively.
- Ability to read and understand instrumentation drawings, specifications, installation details, and related technical documents.
- Good understanding of instrumentation installation quality requirements and construction practices.
- Experience coordinating instrumentation activities with piping, mechanical, electrical, civil, and other disciplines.
- Strong ability to monitor project progress and report work status to the Site Engineer.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for instrumentation installation and testing issues.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, and compliance with approved work procedures.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements on large-scale construction sites.
- Ability to enforce proper PPE use and safe working practices among supervised personnel.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
- Organized, proactive, flexible, and capable of working under pressure.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with the Site Engineer and project team.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate instrumentation and control works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and project schedules.
- Oversee the installation of field instruments and related instrumentation systems.
- Supervise instrumentation equipment installation, positioning, mounting, and connection activities.
- Monitor and supervise instrument hook-up works, including tubing, fittings, connections, and associated installation activities.
- Supervise loop checking, testing, calibration, and functional verification of instrumentation systems.
- Review relevant instrumentation drawings, specifications, installation details, and technical documents before commencing work.
- Ensure instrumentation installations are completed accurately and according to approved project requirements.
- Coordinate with instrumentation technicians, electricians, engineers, and other site personnel to ensure smooth execution of work.
- Manage and allocate manpower according to project requirements, work priorities, and daily activities.
- Assign tasks to workers and technicians and monitor their productivity and work quality.
- Monitor daily progress and provide updates regarding completed activities, manpower, materials, equipment, and outstanding work.
- Ensure sufficient tools, materials, equipment, and manpower are available to meet project schedules.
- Inspect completed instrumentation work and identify installation defects, incomplete activities, or technical issues.
- Coordinate with the Site Engineer regarding work progress, technical concerns, manpower requirements, and site issues.
- Report daily work activities, progress, delays, and significant site concerns to the Site Engineer.
- Coordinate instrumentation activities with mechanical, piping, electrical, civil, and other disciplines to prevent work conflicts and delays.
- Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical and progress updates when required.
- Ensure instrumentation works are properly coordinated with equipment installation and related construction activities.
- Monitor testing and commissioning preparations and ensure instrumentation systems are ready for required testing.
- Assist in troubleshooting instrumentation installation and testing problems and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Verify that work is performed using approved methods, procedures, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure workers follow approved health, safety, and environmental procedures throughout instrumentation activities.
- Conduct or participate in toolbox meetings and safety briefings relevant to assigned instrumentation work.
- Monitor proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers under supervision.
- Identify unsafe conditions and work practices and take immediate corrective action where necessary.
- Maintain good housekeeping in instrumentation work areas and ensure tools and materials are properly organized.
- Monitor the quality and workmanship of field instrumentation installation, hook-ups, loop checks, and testing.
- Coordinate inspections with QA/QC personnel and ensure required inspection points are completed.
- Maintain accurate records of instrumentation installation, testing, loop checks, progress, and manpower.
- Assist in resolving construction and installation issues that may affect project schedule or quality.
- Ensure assigned work is completed within required project timelines and quality standards.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to instrumentation personnel and ensure efficient team performance.
- Perform other instrumentation, control, supervision, and site-related duties assigned by management.
