PUMP ROOM OPERATOR
Qualifications:
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in pump operations, mechanical systems, or industrial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, compressors, and fluid control systems.
- Experience in monitoring pressure, temperature, flow rates, and tank levels using gauges and computerized systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance and basic mechanical repair procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and equipment malfunctions efficiently.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and operational standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, piping diagrams, and operational instructions.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and capable of working in industrial environments.
Responsibilities:
- Start, stop, and regulate pumps, valves, and compressors to control system flow and pressure.
- Monitor gauges, meters, and computerized control systems to ensure proper operating conditions.
- Check pressure levels, temperatures, tank levels, and equipment performance regularly.
- Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, cleaning, and replacement of worn components including packings and seals.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions, leaks, or operational abnormalities.
- Maintain accurate operational logs, maintenance records, and inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, operational guidelines, and company policies.
- Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams regarding repairs and system performance.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of pump room facilities and equipment.
- Respond promptly to operational emergencies and system issues to minimize downtime.
