Aima Construction Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager for a Hotel and Resort Project in Maldives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, coordination, monitoring, and successful delivery of the project while ensuring compliance with approved timelines, budget, quality standards, and safety requirements.
The Project Manager will serve as the company’s senior representative at the project site and will lead the complete site team, manage construction activities, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure the successful completion and handover of the project.
PROJECT MANAGER
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
- More than fifteen (15) years of progressive construction experience.
- Extensive experience in a senior site-based Project Manager role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, preferably in luxury resorts, hotels, hospitality developments, or high-end villa projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction management, project planning, contract administration, and site operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to independently manage complete site operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and deliver projects within schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of the hotel and resort construction project.
- Lead and supervise the site team, including engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and manpower resources.
- Monitor daily construction progress and ensure project milestones are achieved according to the approved programme.
- Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, MEP, finishing, and specialist works to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage subcontractor performance, productivity, quality of work, and compliance with project requirements.
- Develop and implement recovery plans to address project delays and maintain schedules.
- Coordinate material procurement, delivery schedules, and long-lead items to support continuous project progress.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and potential delays.
- Participate in commercial and contractual matters, including variations, claims, and cost management.
- Conduct and lead progress meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and Head Office management.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with all project stakeholders.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, handover, and project close-out activities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout project execution.
