Paradisiac Village Company Limited is seeking an experienced Project Manager for an overseas employment opportunity in Jamaica. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming strategic investment goals into profitable, completed property developments while managing project schedules, budgets, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder coordination.
PROJECT MANAGER
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering or a similar field.
- Proven experience in project management, construction, property development, engineering, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, construction coordination, and cost control.
- Ability to manage multiple project requirements while balancing financial targets, deadlines, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience coordinating with investors, architects, contractors, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and government agencies.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project documentation, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in project management, scheduling, reporting, and office productivity tools.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, cost efficiency, and successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Translate strategic investment objectives into well-planned and successfully completed property development projects.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and oversee construction and development activities from project initiation through completion.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource requirements.
- Monitor project costs and ensure activities remain within approved financial targets.
- Coordinate with investors, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Serve as a key communication link between investors, design professionals, contractors, and local government authorities.
- Review project plans, designs, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Ensure work is completed according to approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate the procurement and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and other project resources.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance and address project issues promptly.
- Identify potential project risks, delays, cost overruns, and other challenges and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, permits, regulations, environmental requirements, and other government requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and project progress meetings.
- Review completed work and ensure deficiencies are corrected before project handover.
- Prepare project progress reports, budget updates, schedules, and other management reports.
- Maintain accurate project records, documentation, contracts, approvals, and correspondence.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedules, budgets, and specifications while assessing their impact on the overall project.
- Resolve conflicts and facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with applicable health and safety requirements.
- Ensure projects achieve the required financial, quality, schedule, and operational objectives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
