Resource Innovative Recycling Solutions is seeking an experienced and technically capable Production Manager (E-Waste Processing) to oversee production operations within an e-waste, scrap metal, and resource recovery environment in Australia. The successful candidate will combine engineering knowledge with hands-on plant operation and team leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and productive processing operations.

PRODUCTION MANAGER (E-WASTE PROCESSING)

Qualifications:

• Must have a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Process, Chemical, Mining, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Must have experience in e-waste, scrap metal, or resource recovery.
• Must have at least five years of experience running production in heavy industry, manufacturing, mining, materials processing, or recycling.
• Must have experience leading a small crew, including rostering and helping employees improve their work skills.
• Must have hands-on experience running this type of processing plant.
• Experience with shredding, screening, conveying, or mechanical separation equipment.
• Must be comfortable operating an excavator, skid steer, and forklift.
• Will use all three types of equipment, with the excavator used most days.
• Australian licence requirements will be arranged before employment commences.
• Strong knowledge of industrial production, plant operations, and material processing.
• Good understanding of e-waste processing, recycling, and resource recovery operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work hands-on in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining, or recycling environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper equipment operation.
• Ability to work independently while effectively leading and supporting a small production team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day production activities of the e-waste processing and resource recovery facility.
• Manage production processes involving shredding, screening, conveying, and mechanical separation.
• Operate and monitor processing plant and equipment to maintain efficient production.
• Ensure production activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to established procedures.
• Lead and coordinate a small production crew and allocate daily work tasks.
• Prepare and manage staff rosters according to operational requirements.
• Train, guide, and support employees to improve their skills, productivity, and work performance.
• Monitor production output, workflow, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.
• Operate an excavator, skid steer, and forklift as required for production and material-handling activities.
• Operate an excavator regularly, including for material handling and other daily production requirements.
• Inspect plant and equipment and identify operational, mechanical, or safety issues.
• Coordinate maintenance and report equipment faults or servicing requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting production and plant-related problems.
• Manage the movement, handling, sorting, and processing of e-waste, scrap metal, and other recoverable materials.
• Monitor the quality and efficiency of resource recovery processes.
• Implement practical improvements to production methods, workflow, and plant utilization.
• Maintain accurate production, operational, and equipment records.
• Ensure employees follow workplace health and safety procedures and safe operating practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area.
• Coordinate with management regarding production targets, staffing, equipment, and operational requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the processing operation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
