We are seeking experienced Flexographic Printer Operators to operate, set up, and maintain flexographic printing presses for high-quality production. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate print registration, color consistency, machine efficiency, and compliance with quality and safety standards.

PRINTER FLEXOGRAPHIC / OPERATOR

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Flexographic Printer Operator.
• Candidates must be a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
• At least 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating multi-color flexographic printing presses.
• Experience operating Central Impression (CI) or Stack Flexographic Presses is required.
• Experience with wide web flexographic printing is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Pantone and spot color matching, ink mixing, viscosity control, and spectrophotometer operation.
• Proficient in handling flexible substrates such as plastic films, paper, and foil materials.
• Skilled in mounting printing plates, installing anilox rolls, and adjusting press settings for optimal print quality.
• Competent in using microscopes, stroboscopes, and tension control systems to identify and correct print defects.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, registration, and web handling issues.
• Basic computer skills to operate automated and digital press control systems.
• Excellent color vision and attention to detail for quality inspection.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift 50–100 lbs, perform repetitive tasks, and stand for extended periods during production shifts.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, and meet production schedules as required.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret work orders, job sheets, and production specifications to prepare printing jobs.
• Set up and operate central impression (CI) or stack flexographic printing presses.
• Load raw materials, mount printing plates, install anilox rolls, and prepare appropriate ink systems.
• Adjust plate impressions, web tension, and web alignment to achieve accurate print registration and color consistency.
• Monitor cameras, stroboscopes, and inspection systems to detect print defects during production.
• Mix and match Pantone and spot colors while monitoring ink viscosity, pH, and temperature throughout production runs.
• Operate printing presses on various flexible substrates, including plastic films, paper, and foil materials.
• Inspect printed products for defects such as misregistration, feathering, doctor blade streaks, and color variation.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, machine lubrication, cleaning, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and material waste.
• Clear web breaks, identify mechanical issues, and coordinate repairs when necessary.
• Record production data, including printed footage, ink consumption, machine downtime, and production output.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while complying with company safety and quality standards.
