Trend Technologies is seeking a skilled Power EE Engineer / Senior Engineer to design and validate advanced backup power systems for industrial battery pack applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in power electronics, switching power supply design, and electrical validation, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Power EE Engineer / Sr. Engineer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in switching power supply design, including AC/DC and DC/DC converters (isolated and non-isolated).
  • Strong experience in circuit simulation and magnetic component design.
  • Familiarity with methodologies such as WCCA, DFMEA, and feedback compensator design.
  • Proficiency in PCB design tools such as OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent software.
  • Basic understanding of battery systems and power electronics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation in English.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and validate backup power systems for industrial battery pack applications.
  • Create and review electrical schematics, select components, and support PCB layout design.
  • Perform electrical validation, debugging, and root cause analysis for hardware issues.
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and test engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support product certification and compliance with safety standards such as UL and UN38.3.
  • Optimize circuit designs for efficiency, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and thermal performance.
  • Validate and support emerging technologies including BBU, UPS, and AI-related power applications.
