Universal Cold Store Company is seeking a qualified Poultry Processing Equipment Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery used in poultry processing operations. The successful candidate will ensure production equipment operates safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime and maintaining compliance with food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

Poultry Processing Equipment Maintenance Technician

Qualifications:

• Male applicants only.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as an Equipment Maintenance Technician or similar industrial maintenance role.
• Technical knowledge and practical experience in industrial maintenance and equipment repair.
• Familiarity with poultry processing plants, poultry production, feed mills, hatcheries, food manufacturing, or industrial processing facilities.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical equipment, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and production machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and equipment documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance skills.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on poultry processing equipment and production machinery.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Maintain equipment such as conveyors, defeathering machines, evisceration equipment, grading systems, chillers, cutting and deboning machines, packaging machines, pumps, motors, and compressors.
• Conduct routine inspections to detect equipment wear, damage, or potential failures before breakdowns occur.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and restore machinery to operational condition with minimal production downtime.
• Lubricate, adjust, align, calibrate, and test machinery according to maintenance schedules and manufacturer specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, electrical schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production personnel to minimize operational interruptions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, repair logs, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, preventive maintenance programs, workplace safety regulations, and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workshops, maintenance tools, and equipment.
• Perform other equipment maintenance duties assigned by management.
