Universal Cold Store Company is seeking a knowledgeable Poultry Feed Formulation Specialist to develop, optimize, and monitor poultry feed formulations that support bird health, growth performance, and production efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with feed mill operations, procurement, quality assurance, and farm management to ensure nutritionally balanced, cost-effective, and high-quality feed production.
Poultry Feed Formulation Specialist
Qualifications:
- Male applicants only.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in poultry feed formulation, animal nutrition, or feed mill operations.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in poultry nutrition and feed formulation.
- Familiarity with feed mills, poultry production, hatcheries, processing plants, or agricultural operations.
- Knowledge of feed ingredients, nutritional requirements, feed manufacturing processes, and quality control procedures.
- Experience using feed formulation software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize poultry feed formulations for broilers, layers, breeders, and other poultry categories based on nutritional requirements.
- Evaluate raw materials and feed ingredients to ensure nutritional quality, consistency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Calculate nutrient requirements, ingredient inclusion rates, and feed specifications using feed formulation software or established nutritional standards.
- Monitor feed production to ensure formulations are accurately manufactured according to approved specifications.
- Coordinate with procurement teams regarding the sourcing and quality of feed ingredients and nutritional additives.
- Work closely with feed mill personnel to improve feed manufacturing processes and production efficiency.
- Analyze laboratory reports, feed quality data, and bird performance to recommend formulation adjustments.
- Monitor feed conversion ratios, growth performance, mortality rates, and production data to improve nutritional programs.
- Ensure compliance with feed safety regulations, quality assurance standards, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate formulation records, nutritional documentation, ingredient specifications, and production reports.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance feed quality, reduce production costs, and maximize poultry performance.
- Perform other feed formulation and technical duties assigned by management.
