Universal Cold Store Company is seeking a skilled PLC Technician – Poultry Houses to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair programmable logic controller (PLC) systems and automated equipment used in poultry production facilities. The successful candidate will ensure the reliable operation of automation systems supporting poultry houses while maintaining high standards of safety, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
PLC Technician – Poultry Houses
Qualifications:
- Male applicants only.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a PLC Technician or in industrial automation maintenance.
- Technical knowledge and practical experience related to PLC systems, industrial controls, and automation equipment.
- Experience in poultry production, poultry houses, feed mills, hatcheries, processing plants, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of PLC systems, electrical controls, sensors, relays, motors, and industrial automation equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, control diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair PLC-controlled systems used in poultry houses and automated production facilities.
- Monitor and maintain automated control systems for ventilation, feeding, watering, lighting, heating, cooling, and environmental control equipment.
- Diagnose electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and PLC-related faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PLC panels, sensors, actuators, variable frequency drives (VFDs), motors, control circuits, and associated equipment.
- Read and interpret PLC programs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Assist in modifying, testing, and optimizing PLC programs and automation systems to improve operational performance.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment service documentation.
- Ensure proper operation and calibration of sensors and monitoring devices used in poultry house automation.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and production personnel during equipment servicing and repairs.
- Follow company standard operating procedures (SOPs), workplace safety regulations, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Perform other automation and maintenance duties assigned by management.
