Qualifications:
- Qualified Structural Welder certified in accordance with AWS D1.1 (Structural Welding Code – Steel) or an equivalent approved standard.
- Proven experience in structural steel welding and fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
- Skilled in welding structural steel components using approved welding procedures.
- Strong understanding of welding quality standards and inspection requirements.
- Committed to producing accurate, high-quality workmanship.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a construction or industrial environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural welding on steel plates, beams, columns, and fabricated structural components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication plans.
- Prepare, align, and weld structural steel components according to approved welding procedures.
- Produce high-quality welds that meet project specifications and applicable industry standards.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with quality requirements.
- Operate welding equipment and related tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with fabricators, fitters, and supervisors to complete assigned work efficiently and on schedule.
