Gemlife Administration Pty Ltd is offering an overseas employment opportunity for qualified applicants seeking a Plasterer position in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing plasterboard on internal walls and ceilings, preparing surfaces for decorative finishes, and carrying out plastering work on residential building projects.

PLASTERER

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least graduates of a four-year undergraduate course.
• High school graduates must be willing to take the IELTS or PTE English proficiency test.
• Must have experience as a plasterer, wall and ceiling plasterer, or gyprocker.
• Must be skilled in installing, finishing, and repairing plasterboard on internal walls and ceilings.
• Must be able to measure, cut, fit, and fix plasterboard sheets accurately.
• Must have experience applying jointing compound, tape, and finishing coats.
• Must be capable of sanding and smoothing surfaces to achieve a professional finish.
• Must have practical experience repairing cracks, holes, damaged plasterboard, and plaster finishes.
• Residential construction experience is required or strongly preferred.
• Experience with Hebel walls is highly regarded.
• Must be physically strong and capable of handling heavy construction materials, including Hebel products.
• Must understand construction safety procedures and proper material-handling practices.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a four-wheeled vehicle.
• Must be willing and qualified to work in Australia, subject to applicable employment and visa requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Install plasterboard sheets on internal walls and ceilings in residential buildings.
• Measure, mark, cut, fit, and fix plasterboard sheets according to project specifications.
• Apply jointing compound, tape, and finishing coats to plasterboard joints and seams.
• Sand and smooth plasterboard surfaces to prepare them for painting, wallpapering, or decorative finishes.
• Inspect walls and ceilings and repair cracks, holes, damaged plasterboard, and defective plaster finishes.
• Carry out plastering and wall and ceiling finishing work to meet required quality standards.
• Work with Hebel wall systems and related materials when required.
• Handle, lift, and position plasterboard sheets and other construction materials safely.
• Use plastering tools, equipment, and materials correctly and efficiently.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other construction workers to complete residential building projects on schedule.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
