Jabil Circuit Sdn. is seeking a qualified and experienced Planner Supervisor for an overseas work opportunity in Malaysia. The successful candidate will supervise production planning activities, coordinate material availability, monitor production schedules, and work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure customer requirements and production targets are achieved.
Planner Supervisor
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in production planning, material planning, supply chain planning, or a related manufacturing planning role.
- Candidates with experience in EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) or OEM (Electrical & Electronics Manufacturing) are preferred.
- Experience in an electronics, electrical, or manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Proven experience in production scheduling, material planning, inventory coordination, and manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of production planning principles, manufacturing capacity, material requirements, and delivery schedules.
- Ability to analyze production requirements, inventory levels, material shortages, and manufacturing capacity.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple production requirements and respond effectively to schedule changes.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience supervising or coordinating planning personnel is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with production, procurement, warehouse, engineering, quality, materials, and customer service teams.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prepare planning reports and analyze production and inventory data.
- Knowledge of ERP or manufacturing planning systems is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production and delivery deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary manufacturing team.
- Willing to follow company policies, manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production planning and scheduling activities.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor production schedules based on customer requirements, forecasts, orders, and manufacturing capacity.
- Coordinate with production, materials, procurement, warehouse, engineering, quality, and customer service teams to ensure smooth production operations.
- Review production requirements and ensure sufficient materials and components are available to meet scheduled production.
- Monitor inventory levels, material availability, shortages, and potential supply constraints.
- Identify material shortages and production risks and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor production progress against planned schedules and take action when delays or deviations occur.
- Prioritize production orders based on customer requirements, delivery commitments, capacity, and material availability.
- Coordinate changes to production schedules resulting from customer requirements, material shortages, equipment issues, or manufacturing constraints.
- Maintain accurate production planning data, schedules, reports, and records.
- Analyze production performance, capacity, demand, inventory, and delivery requirements to support planning decisions.
- Monitor key planning indicators such as schedule adherence, production output, inventory levels, shortages, and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers regarding material availability and delivery schedules.
- Work with manufacturing teams to optimize production capacity and resource utilization.
- Support new product introductions, engineering changes, production transfers, and other manufacturing activities.
- Identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints and recommend solutions to improve production flow.
- Ensure planning activities are aligned with customer demand and company production objectives.
- Supervise, guide, and provide technical direction to planning staff.
- Review the performance of planning team members and provide coaching and support as required.
- Establish effective planning procedures, controls, and communication processes.
- Prepare management reports, production forecasts, planning updates, and other required documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve production efficiency, inventory management, and delivery performance.
- Ensure planning processes comply with company policies, quality requirements, and manufacturing procedures.
- Perform other production planning and supervisory duties assigned by management.
