Stellar Recruitment (NZ) Limited is seeking qualified and experienced Pipefitters for an overseas work opportunity in New Zealand. The successful candidates will install and maintain piping systems for commercial and residential construction projects, including fire protection, HVAC, plumbing, and other specialized piping systems.

PIPEFITTER

Qualifications:

• Maximum age: 45 years old.
• Minimum 3 years of overseas work experience.
• Strong experience in fire protection pipe installation.
• Strong experience in HVAC pipe installation.
• Proven experience working on commercial new construction projects.
• Experience in commercial and residential plumbing installation.
• Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, technical plans, specifications, and installation instructions.
• Knowledge of pipe measurement, cutting, bending, threading, fitting, joining, and installation.
• Experience installing pipe supports, hangers, valves, fittings, and related components.
• Ability to inspect and test piping systems and identify installation defects or leaks.
• Experience in medical gas installation in hospitals, clinics, and laboratories is a major advantage.
• Candidates with oil and gas experience only are not suitable for this position.
• Strong practical pipefitting and construction skills.
• Good knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Ability to safely operate pipefitting hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, threading machines, and related equipment.
• Good English communication skills are essential.
• Must be willing and able to complete the IELTS.
• Must be able to meet the required IELTS testing requirement.
• Must be willing and able to obtain an IELTS Overall Band Score of 4.0.
• Must have complete and verifiable employment documentation.
• Applicants must be currently residing in the Philippines throughout the application process.
• Physically fit and capable of performing construction and pipe installation work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Willing to comply with New Zealand workplace safety standards, company procedures, and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, fit, and maintain piping systems for commercial and residential construction projects.
• Install fire protection piping systems, including pipework for fire suppression and related systems.
• Install and connect HVAC piping systems according to project drawings and specifications.
• Perform commercial plumbing installation for new construction and renovation projects.
• Install plumbing pipework and associated fittings for residential and commercial buildings.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, fit, and join pipes using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, piping layouts, specifications, and installation plans.
• Install pipe supports, brackets, hangers, valves, fittings, and other piping components.
• Ensure piping systems are correctly aligned, secured, supported, and installed according to project requirements.
• Perform pressure testing and inspection of installed piping systems where required.
• Identify leaks, defects, incorrect connections, and other installation problems and carry out appropriate corrections.
• Work with different types of piping materials and fittings according to system requirements.
• Assist with the installation of specialized piping systems, including medical gas systems when qualified.
• Install medical gas piping in hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and other healthcare facilities when required.
• Follow approved installation procedures, technical specifications, and applicable safety requirements.
• Coordinate with plumbers, HVAC technicians, fire protection workers, electricians, builders, supervisors, and other construction trades.
• Maintain proper tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.
• Use hand tools, power tools, pipe-cutting equipment, threading machines, pipe benders, and other pipefitting equipment safely.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report defective materials, installation issues, safety hazards, and project concerns to the supervisor.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure completed piping installations meet project specifications.
• Perform other pipefitting, plumbing, HVAC piping, and installation duties assigned by management.
