Juffair Pets W.L.L. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Groomer (Animal Keeper) to provide professional grooming and basic animal care services for dogs, cats, and other companion animals. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining pets’ hygiene, appearance, and overall well-being while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and stress-free grooming experience.

PET GROOMER (ANIMAL KEEPER)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Pet Groomer, Animal Groomer, or Animal Keeper.
  • No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
  • Proficient in using professional grooming equipment, including clippers, shears, blow dryers, and nail grinders.
  • Skilled in bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and coat styling.
  • Knowledge of breed-specific grooming techniques and safe animal handling practices.
  • Familiarity with proper grooming hygiene, sanitation, and sterilization procedures.
  • Patient, gentle, and confident in handling pets of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and safely handle animals.

Responsibilities:

  • Bathe pets using appropriate shampoos and grooming products based on coat type and skin condition.
  • Blow-dry, brush, and detangle coats to remove knots and matted fur.
  • Trim or grind pets’ nails safely and accurately.
  • Clean pets’ ears and inspect for signs of infection or irritation.
  • Brush pets’ teeth and promote proper oral hygiene.
  • Clip, trim, or scissor fur according to breed standards or the owner’s requested style.
  • Handle pets calmly and safely throughout the grooming process to minimize stress.
  • Inspect pets for skin conditions, parasites, wounds, or abnormalities and report concerns to supervisors or pet owners.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tables, cages, tools, and workstations.
  • Clean and sterilize grooming equipment after each use to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Assist in the daily care and monitoring of animals, including feeding, watering, and maintaining clean enclosures when required.
  • Recommend appropriate grooming schedules and pet care products to customers.
  • Follow company policies on animal welfare, workplace safety, and customer service.
  • Perform other grooming and animal care duties assigned by management.
