Aureol Global Connections is seeking qualified and experienced Permastore Tank Builders / Installation Operatives for an overseas work opportunity in Ireland. The successful candidates will assemble and install bolted, glass-fused-to-steel storage tanks at customer sites, ensuring that tank shells, roofs, seals, fixings, and ancillary equipment are installed safely and according to manufacturer specifications.

PERMASTORE TANK BUILDER / INSTALLATION OPERATIVE

Qualifications:

• Proven experience constructing Permastore or similar bolted steel storage tanks.
• Experience in tank installation, steel construction, mechanical assembly, or industrial construction.
• Good mechanical assembly and construction skills.
• Experience working with bolted steel panels, industrial sealants, and torque-controlled fixings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, tank layouts, and installation manuals.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
• Experience using calibrated torque wrenches and recording torque checks.
• Understanding of safe lifting, positioning, and handling of large steel panels.
• Ability to work safely at height and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual work and handling construction materials.
  Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate installation.
• Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow construction site procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a skilled installation team.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Age requirement: 25–52 years old.
• Formal training or proven experience in Permastore tank construction is an advantage.
• CSCS, CSR, or equivalent construction site safety card is an advantage.
• IPAF and PASMA qualifications are advantageous.
• Telehandler, slinger/signaller, or banksman training is an advantage.
• Working-at-height, manual-handling, and abrasive-wheels training is an advantage.
• Confined-space awareness or certification is an advantage.
• Experience installing tanks for water, wastewater, slurry, anaerobic digestion, agricultural, or industrial applications is preferred.
• Experience installing aluminium, steel, or membrane tank roofs is an advantage.
• Relevant overseas construction or industrial installation experience is an advantage.
• Willing to follow manufacturer drawings, installation instructions, company policies, and site safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and install Permastore and similar bolted steel storage tanks at customer sites.
• Construct tank shells by positioning, aligning, and securing large glass-fused-to-steel panels.
• Install tank panels, bolts, seals, fixings, stiffeners, and other structural components according to manufacturer specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, tank layouts, installation manuals, and manufacturer instructions.
• Prepare and correctly apply approved industrial sealants to tank joints and connections.
• Apply sealant continuously and correctly to ensure proper sealing and prevent leaks.
• Install and tighten bolts in the correct sequence and to the specified torque.
• Use calibrated torque wrenches and other precision tools during tank assembly.
• Record torque checks and maintain required installation documentation.
• Install tank roofs, including aluminium, steel, or membrane roof systems where applicable.
• Install ancillary equipment, fittings, access components, and other tank-related equipment.
• Check tank alignment, level, dimensions, panel positioning, and overall structural accuracy throughout installation.
• Carefully handle steel panels and components to prevent damage to the glass-fused-to-steel coating.
• Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and installation equipment safely.
• Assist with safe lifting, positioning, and handling of large steel panels and tank components.
• Follow approved installation procedures and use only authorized sealants, fixings, repair materials, and components.
• Inspect completed work to identify installation defects, damaged components, alignment issues, or sealing problems.
• Support inspection, pressure or leak testing, and final quality checks before project handover.
• Assist supervisors and installation teams in resolving construction or assembly issues on site.
• Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas in clean and organized condition.
• Follow all site-specific safety procedures, risk assessments, method statements, and manufacturer instructions.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Follow safe working-at-height, manual-handling, lifting, and construction site procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions, damaged materials, equipment problems, and installation concerns to the supervisor.
• Work closely with other tank builders, installers, supervisors, and site personnel to complete projects efficiently.
• Perform other tank construction and installation duties assigned by management.
