PAVER/PAVING INSTALLER

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in stone paving, stone installation, stonemasonry, or fiberglass fabrication.
  • Must have experience cutting, shaping, measuring, installing, and finishing stone or fiberglass materials.
  • Must be knowledgeable in operating hand tools, power tools, grinders, cutters, polishers, and other specialized equipment.
  • Must be able to read and interpret measurements, technical drawings, plans, and work instructions.
  • Must have experience preparing surfaces and installing stone paving, stone panels, or fiberglass components.
  • Must understand bonding, sealing, joining, and finishing techniques appropriate to the materials used.
  • Must be able to inspect finished work for proper alignment, accurate measurements, durability, and quality.
  • Must be capable of working safely and efficiently while meeting project specifications and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Install concrete pavers, bricks, and stone blocks for driveways, footpaths, patios, roads, and other outdoor areas.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, plans, and work instructions.
  • Measure, mark, cut, shape, and prepare stone or paving materials according to project specifications.
  • Prepare surfaces and foundations before installing paving materials, stone panels, or other components.
  • Use hand tools and power tools, including grinders, cutters, polishers, and specialized installation equipment.
  • Apply appropriate bonding, sealing, joining, and finishing techniques to ensure secure and durable installations.
  • Perform fiberglass fabrication, molding, trimming, sanding, joining, and finishing when required by the project.
  • Inspect materials before installation and check completed work for accurate measurements, proper alignment, durability, and quality.
  • Identify and correct installation defects or inconsistencies to meet project specifications.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and orderly condition.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other tradespeople to complete assigned work within project schedules.
