Garamut Enterprises Ltd. is seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join its culinary team in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods and desserts while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and kitchen efficiency.
PASTRY COOK
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Pastry Cook, Baker, or in a similar role.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Demonstrated skill in baking pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets, and pies.
- Knowledge of operating and maintaining specialized pastry baking equipment.
- Experience preparing work schedules and maintaining pastry section records is an advantage.
- An Associate Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and commitment to food quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, cookies, breads, pies, desserts, and other baked products according to recipes and quality standards.
- Decorate and present pastry products in an attractive and professional manner.
- Operate, clean, and maintain pastry ovens, mixers, and other specialized baking equipment.
- Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality to ensure consistency.
- Prepare ingredients and ensure proper storage of baking supplies and finished products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in planning daily production schedules and maintaining pastry section records.
- Monitor inventory levels and report ingredient requirements to supervisors.
- Follow company policies, hygiene regulations, and workplace safety procedures.
- Perform other pastry and baking duties as assigned by the employer.
