Australian Skilled Migration is seeking an experienced Motorcycle Mechanic (KTM) to work in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motorcycles, with a strong focus on KTM motorcycles. The role requires solid mechanical knowledge, diagnostic skills, and hands-on experience performing motorcycle repairs and maintenance to high-quality standards.
MOTORCYCLE MECHANIC (KTM)
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a Motorcycle Mechanic.
- At least 1 year in college or completion of a 1-year vocational course.
- Strong experience in motorcycle repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
- KTM motorcycle experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in motorcycle servicing and mechanical repairs.
- Able to perform inspections, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair work.
- Strong knowledge of motorcycle engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, electrical systems, and other mechanical components.
- Ability to use motorcycle diagnostic equipment, mechanical tools, and workshop equipment.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance and manufacturer service procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on mechanical work for extended periods.
- Reliable, disciplined, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a professional workshop team.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect motorcycles to identify mechanical, electrical, and performance-related issues.
- Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on motorcycles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot engine, transmission, braking, suspension, steering, electrical, and fuel system problems.
- Carry out mechanical repairs and component replacements according to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform engine servicing, tune-ups, adjustments, and repairs as required.
- Inspect and service motorcycle braking systems, suspension components, steering systems, and drive systems.
- Diagnose electrical and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Perform oil changes, filter replacement, fluid checks, lubrication, and other scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Remove, repair, replace, and reinstall motorcycle components and assemblies.
- Conduct inspections and road tests after repairs to verify motorcycle performance, safety, and reliability.
- Identify worn, damaged, or defective parts and recommend appropriate repair or replacement.
- Use workshop tools, mechanical equipment, and diagnostic instruments safely and correctly.
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures, technical specifications, service schedules, and workshop standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, servicing, parts used, and completed work.
- Communicate repair findings and recommended maintenance to supervisors, service advisers, or customers when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop and work area.
- Ensure motorcycles are handled carefully and protected from damage during servicing and repairs.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and proper handling practices for tools, machinery, oils, chemicals, and other workshop materials.
- Stay updated with motorcycle mechanical systems, diagnostic procedures, and repair techniques.
- Perform other motorcycle servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties assigned by management.
