Australian Skilled Migration is seeking an experienced Motorcycle Mechanic specializing in Harley-Davidson motorcycles to work in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for motorcycle servicing, mechanical repairs, inspections, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. Candidates with strong hands-on experience working with Harley-Davidson motorcycles are highly preferred.
MOTORCYCLE MECHANIC (HARLEY-DAVIDSON)
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a Motorcycle Mechanic.
- At least 1 year in college or completion of a 1-year vocational course.
- Strong experience in motorcycle repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
- Harley-Davidson experience is highly preferred.
- Experienced in motorcycle servicing and mechanical repairs.
- Able to perform detailed motorcycle inspections, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair work.
- Strong knowledge of motorcycle mechanical systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
- Able to use motorcycle diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment effectively.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance and manufacturer-recommended service procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Able to identify mechanical problems accurately and complete repairs efficiently.
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on mechanical work for extended periods.
- Able to work independently and as part of a professional workshop team.
- Responsible, safety-conscious, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs on motorcycles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance-related problems using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Inspect motorcycles to identify worn, damaged, defective, or malfunctioning components.
- Carry out repairs and replacements of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, drive systems, and other motorcycle components.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing according to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to accurately identify the causes of motorcycle faults.
- Service and repair Harley-Davidson motorcycles and related systems when required.
- Remove, dismantle, inspect, repair, replace, and reassemble motorcycle components.
- Perform engine tune-ups and adjustments to ensure optimal motorcycle performance.
- Inspect and service braking systems, tires, wheels, suspension, steering, and drivetrain components.
- Perform oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, adjustments, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Use manufacturer specifications, technical manuals, service information, and diagnostic procedures when performing repairs.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized motorcycle repair equipment safely and correctly.
- Conduct post-repair inspections and testing to verify that motorcycles are operating safely and properly.
- Identify additional repair or maintenance requirements and communicate findings to supervisors or customers as applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and maintenance work completed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop and work area.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and proper handling of tools, equipment, oils, chemicals, and other workshop materials.
- Work effectively with other mechanics, technicians, supervisors, and service personnel.
- Perform other motorcycle servicing, maintenance, diagnostic, and repair duties assigned by management.
