METAL PAINTER

Qualifications:

• At least High School graduate.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in the same field, with a Certificate of Employment (COE) not later than 2021.
• Physically and mentally ready to work abroad.
• Medically fit to work.
• Willing to undergo 3–4 months of free Japanese language training.
• Willing to work under a 3-year TITP contract in Japan.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow painting and safety instructions.
• Hardworking, disciplined, responsible, and willing to learn.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team in a production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare metal surfaces before painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and removing dirt, rust, grease, and old coatings.
• Inspect metal components and identify surface defects that require correction before painting.
• Apply primers, paints, protective coatings, and finishing materials to metal surfaces using appropriate painting methods and equipment.
• Mix and prepare paints, coatings, thinners, and other materials according to required specifications.
• Operate spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other painting tools safely and correctly.
• Ensure proper paint thickness, coverage, color, texture, and finish.
• Perform masking and covering of areas that should not be painted.
• Conduct touch-up and corrective painting work when necessary.
• Inspect completed painting work for defects such as uneven coating, runs, drips, peeling, or incomplete coverage.
• Follow established painting procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements.
• Properly clean and maintain spray guns, brushes, painting equipment, and work tools after use.
• Handle paints, solvents, chemicals, and other materials safely and according to workplace procedures.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks, gloves, protective clothing, and safety equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Minimize material waste through proper preparation, mixing, application, and storage.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and work cooperatively with other members of the production team.
• Perform other metal painting, surface preparation, and finishing duties as assigned.
