Medical Laboratory Scientist (Medical Technologist)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or Public Health.
• Valid ASCPi (American Society for Clinical Pathology International) Certification.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience working in different sections of a hospital clinical laboratory.
• Must be currently employed in a hospital.
• Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures, quality assurance, and laboratory safety standards.
• Proficient in operating laboratory equipment and interpreting laboratory test results.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in various clinical laboratory sections, including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Blood Bank, and Urinalysis.
• Collect, process, analyze, and validate patient specimens using laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results through quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Review, verify, and report laboratory findings in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain proper documentation, laboratory records, and patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to established laboratory protocols, infection control measures, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Participate in proficiency testing, continuous quality improvement, and laboratory accreditation activities.
• Perform other laboratory-related duties as assigned by the employer.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
