MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN (CATEGORY A)

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Must have maintenance experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, or Power Plant facilities.
• Bachelor’s / College Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or a similar field.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Good HSEQ record in previous employment.
• Good knowledge of Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Strong experience in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting activities in continuous-operation plants.
• Hands-on experience in the installation, removal, maintenance, and reinstallation of pumps and blowers.
• Knowledge and experience in the maintenance of valves, vessels, columns, exchangers, pipes, and other static equipment.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform appropriate corrective maintenance.
• Good understanding of industrial mechanical equipment, maintenance procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on mechanical work in demanding industrial environments.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, disciplined, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair activities in continuous-operation industrial plants.
• Carry out maintenance work on equipment and systems in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, or Power Plant facilities.
• Install, remove, inspect, repair, and reinstall pumps and blowers.
• Perform maintenance and servicing of different types of industrial pumps and blowers.
• Inspect, maintain, repair, and replace various types of valves.
• Perform maintenance activities on vessels, columns, heat exchangers, pipes, and other static equipment.
• Conduct inspections to identify mechanical defects, leaks, corrosion, wear, or other equipment problems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and determine appropriate corrective maintenance requirements.
• Assist with equipment dismantling, component inspection, repair, replacement, and reassembly.
• Ensure pumps, blowers, valves, vessels, columns, exchangers, and piping systems are properly installed and secured.
• Follow approved maintenance procedures, technical instructions, equipment specifications, and work schedules.
• Apply proper Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures before performing maintenance or repair activities.
• Comply with HSEQ requirements, permit-to-work procedures, and industrial safety standards.
• Maintain a strong safety record and promote safe working practices within the maintenance team.
• Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and mechanical maintenance equipment safely.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, operators, and other maintenance personnel during repair and shutdown activities.
• Inspect completed maintenance work to ensure equipment is correctly assembled and ready for operation.
• Report equipment abnormalities, safety hazards, maintenance findings, and required repairs to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment conditions.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Perform other mechanical maintenance duties assigned by management.
