Universal Cold Store Company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Poultry Processing Plant to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot mechanical equipment used in poultry processing operations. The successful candidate will ensure production machinery operates safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime and maintaining compliance with food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Poultry Processing Plant

Qualifications:

• Male applicants only.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician or similar position.
• Technical knowledge and practical experience in industrial mechanical maintenance and repair.
• Experience in poultry processing plants, poultry production, feed mills, hatcheries, food manufacturing, or industrial processing facilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and industrial mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, maintenance manuals, and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance skills.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on poultry processing plant machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective mechanical components such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, pumps, conveyors, valves, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures before breakdowns occur.
• Respond promptly to production equipment breakdowns and restore machinery to operational condition.
• Assist in installing, commissioning, and testing new processing equipment and machinery.
• Lubricate, align, adjust, and calibrate mechanical systems according to maintenance schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, spare parts usage, and repair documentation.
• Coordinate with production personnel to schedule maintenance activities while minimizing production interruptions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workshops, maintenance tools, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety requirements, preventive maintenance programs, and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Follow company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance best practices.
• Perform other mechanical maintenance duties assigned by management.
