Master Upholstery Worker

 Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in furniture upholstery.
• Extensive experience in covering, stitching, designing, and cutting upholstery materials.
• Knowledgeable in manufacturing and upholstering sleeping beds, pillows, chairs, sofa sets, and other upholstered furniture.
• Skilled in pattern making, fabric cutting, sewing, foam installation, and furniture finishing.
• Proficient in using industrial sewing machines and upholstery tools.
• Ability to read production drawings and furniture specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality furniture.
• Good problem-solving, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual upholstery work.

Responsibilities:

• Upholster new furniture, including sofas, chairs, beds, headboards, cushions, and other upholstered products.
• Measure, cut, sew, and fit upholstery fabrics, leather, vinyl, foam, and padding materials with precision.
• Design and create upholstery patterns to meet customer and production specifications.
• Perform furniture repairs, reupholstering, and restoration work on existing furniture.
• Install webbing, springs, foam, batting, cushions, and upholstery coverings.
• Assemble and finish upholstered furniture, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and appearance.
• Produce and upholster sleeping beds, mattresses, pillows, sofa sets, dining chairs, and office furniture.
• Operate industrial sewing machines, cutting equipment, staple guns, foam cutters, and upholstery tools safely.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards and customer requirements.
• Read production drawings, furniture specifications, and work instructions.
• Select appropriate upholstery materials based on design, durability, and functionality.
• Maintain upholstery equipment, tools, and workstations in clean and safe condition.
• Minimize material waste while maximizing production efficiency.
• Assist in training junior upholsterers and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Perform other upholstery and furniture production duties assigned by management.
