Global Skilled Employment Services is urgently seeking qualified Maintenance / Mechanical Engineering Technicians with hands-on experience in meat processing equipment. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the efficient operation of specialized machinery used in meat processing facilities.

Maintenance / Mechanical Engineering Technician

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Industrial Engineering, or Industrial Technology
• Minimum of 2–3 years of recent and relevant experience in a similar role
• Hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing meat processing equipment such as grinders, band saws, skinning machines, and bone cutters
• Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and equipment specifications
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of meat processing equipment
• Ensure proper functioning of machines such as meat grinders, band saw machines, skinning machines, and bone cutter machines
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective solutions
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the workplace
• Follow operational procedures and safety regulations at all times
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations
