Job Vacancy: Machine Shop Foreman

WASI Steel Industries Factory Co. is seeking an experienced and skilled Machine Shop Foreman to oversee daily machining operations, supervise machine shop personnel, and ensure efficient production while maintaining quality, safety, and operational standards. The successful candidate will manage machining activities, coordinate workflow, and ensure that all manufactured components meet technical specifications.
Machine Shop Foreman
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or Associate Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a machinist, machine shop supervisor, or foreman.
- Proven experience supervising machine shop operations and machining personnel.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and equipment, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and industrial safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Willing to work in Saudi Arabia and adapt to workplace standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the machine shop to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Lead, assign, and monitor the work of machinists and machine shop personnel.
- Operate and oversee machining processes involving CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine shop equipment.
- Review production schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned jobs.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Ensure machining activities meet required quality standards and dimensional accuracy.
- Monitor machine performance, tool usage, and equipment condition.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain compliance with workplace safety regulations and company safety standards.
- Train and guide team members on proper procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
- Prepare production reports and communicate operational concerns to management.
- Perform other related duties assigned by supervisors.
