KITCHEN STEWARD

Qualifications:

Age requirement: 22–35 years old.

Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Kitchen Steward or similar role in a 5-star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Presentable, reliable, and hardworking.

Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, food safety, and hygiene standards.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Physically fit and capable of performing manual cleaning and lifting tasks.

Must provide a Certificate of Employment (COE).

Strong teamwork skills and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities:

Clean, wash, and sanitize kitchen utensils, cookware, dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, storage rooms, and food preparation areas.

Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper handling of cleaning equipment.

Dispose of waste and maintain proper garbage segregation according to hotel procedures.

Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies and equipment.

Support chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring clean utensils and equipment are readily available.

Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards at all times.

Perform routine cleaning of floors, walls, drains, and other kitchen facilities.

Report damaged equipment or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.

Maintain a professional attitude and work collaboratively with the kitchen team.
