SRACO International Contracting is seeking an experienced Instrument Specialist (Fire System) to support Oil & Gas engineering construction and industrial facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire and gas (F&G) detection systems, emergency shutdown (ESD) systems, and related field instrumentation to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in Oil & Gas engineering construction or industrial facilities.
• Strong experience maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting Fire & Gas (F&G) systems, field instrumentation, and emergency shutdown (ESD) systems.
• Hands-on experience with flame, smoke, heat, and toxic/combustible gas detection systems.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing F&G panels, field transmitters, alarm sounders, and beacon systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, loop diagrams, and instrumentation documentation.
• Knowledge of industrial instrumentation standards, hazardous area classifications, and HSE regulations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively in demanding industrial environments.

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Fire & Gas (F&G) detection systems and associated field instrumentation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on flame, smoke, heat, and toxic/combustible gas detectors.
• Diagnose and repair faults in Fire & Gas control panels, field transmitters, alarm sounders, beacons, and related devices.
• Maintain, calibrate, and verify emergency shutdown (ESD) linkages and safety instrumented systems.
• Conduct routine functional testing of fire detection, gas detection, and emergency alarm systems.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, instrument drawings, and technical manuals.
• Configure, calibrate, and commission field instruments in accordance with project specifications and manufacturer recommendations.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company procedures, international standards, and Oil & Gas industry regulations.
• Prepare maintenance reports, calibration records, inspection documents, and work orders.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and operations personnel during maintenance and shutdown activities.
• Maintain instrumentation tools, calibration equipment, and testing devices in good working condition.
• Comply with occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements at all times.
• Perform other instrumentation and fire system duties assigned by management.
