Job Location: Mozambique
Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. is seeking a qualified Scaffolding Inspector to ensure that all scaffolding structures are safe, stable, and compliant with project requirements, safety standards, and approved procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and verifying that scaffolding systems are properly installed and maintained before use.
INSPECTOR SCAFFOLDING
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in steel structure inspection, fabrication, erection, or quality control activities.
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree in Engineering (Others) or related fields.
- Experience in industrial, infrastructure, oil and gas, power, or large-scale construction projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, erection procedures, welding processes, and inspection methods.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, structural plans, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with quality standards, inspection procedures, and construction documentation.
- Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Willing to work on project sites in Mozambique.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect steel structure fabrication and erection activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and quality requirements.
- Conduct inspections of structural steel works, including fabrication, installation, alignment, bolting, and welding activities.
- Perform quality inspections and verify that materials, workmanship, and installation methods meet project standards.
- Review inspection records, material certificates, welding documents, and other quality-related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with approved procedures, engineering specifications, and applicable industry codes.
- Monitor welding activities and coordinate with QA/QC teams regarding inspection requirements and corrective actions.
- Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective measures to maintain quality standards.
- Prepare inspection reports, documentation, and quality records for project tracking and client review.
- Coordinate with construction teams, engineers, supervisors, and client representatives to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure all inspection activities are performed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
