OWS Automotive is seeking a skilled and experienced Hydraulic Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems used in automotive, industrial, and heavy equipment applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring hydraulic systems operate efficiently and safely through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality repairs. The ideal applicant has strong technical knowledge of hydraulic components and a commitment to safety and workmanship.
Hydraulic Mechanic
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in hydraulic systems troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and hydraulic motors.
- Vocational training or an Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology, Industrial Systems, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- TESDA NC II Certification in a relevant mechanical or automotive trade is required.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
- Skilled in using hydraulic testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and workshop machinery.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit and capable of performing workshop and field maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, fluid motors, and hydraulic power units.
- Perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic equipment to ensure optimum performance and minimize downtime.
- Inspect hydraulic components for leaks, wear, pressure loss, and mechanical failures.
- Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and reassemble hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and related components.
- Install hydraulic hoses, fittings, seals, and replacement parts as required.
- Test hydraulic systems using pressure gauges, flow meters, and other diagnostic equipment to verify proper operation.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings, and service manuals.
- Replace hydraulic fluids and filters while ensuring proper system cleanliness and contamination control.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
- Ensure tools, workshop equipment, and work areas remain clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with workshop supervisors and technicians to complete repairs efficiently.
- Perform other hydraulic maintenance and repair duties assigned by management.
