MOTM is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician / Cooling Technician to support the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems in IT environments and data centers in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with data center cooling infrastructure, including InRow CW/DX cooling units, air-cooled chillers, and water-cooled chillers, with the ability to perform preventive maintenance, copper brazing, leakage testing, mechanical work, and cooling-system troubleshooting while maintaining safety and operational standards.

Qualifications:
- 6–8 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration systems, particularly in IT environments and data centers.
- Strong hands-on experience in the installation, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of data center cooling equipment.
- Experience with InRoom CW, InRoom DX, air-cooled chillers, water-cooled chillers, and similar cooling systems.
- Hands-on experience installing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining APC InRow CW/DX cooling units.
- Practical experience in copper brazing, refrigeration piping, leakage testing, and mechanical activities.
- Strong understanding of data center cooling infrastructure and the importance of maintaining continuous and reliable cooling.
- Experience implementing and following preventive maintenance schedules to optimize equipment performance.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and refrigeration-related faults and equipment failures.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and control circuits used in HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Basic knowledge of HSE regulations, workplace safety requirements, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, testing instruments, and HVAC service equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in critical data center and technical facility environments.
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on HVAC and refrigeration maintenance work.
Responsibilities:
- Install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems serving IT environments and data centers.
- Perform installation and maintenance activities for data center cooling infrastructure and associated equipment.
- Work with InRoom CW, InRoom DX, air-cooled chillers, water-cooled chillers, and other data center cooling systems.
- Perform hands-on installation, operation, servicing, and maintenance of APC InRow CW/DX cooling units.
- Carry out copper pipe installation, brazing, joint preparation, and related refrigeration mechanical work.
- Perform refrigerant piping and connection activities according to approved technical procedures.
- Conduct leakage tests on refrigeration and cooling systems and identify potential sources of leaks.
- Inspect cooling units, piping, valves, connections, coils, fans, pumps, compressors, and other HVAC components.
- Troubleshoot HVAC and cooling-system faults and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Diagnose mechanical, refrigeration, control, and basic electrical issues affecting cooling-system performance.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
- Ensure data center cooling equipment operates efficiently and reliably to minimize downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance, operating conditions, temperatures, pressures, and other relevant parameters.
- Identify abnormal equipment conditions and report potential failures or operational risks promptly.
- Assist in maintaining proper cooling capacity and environmental conditions required for critical IT equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and functional checks of cooling systems and related equipment.
- Conduct cleaning, adjustment, lubrication, tightening, and other routine maintenance activities as required.
- Assist with equipment start-up, shutdown, testing, commissioning, and return-to-service activities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, service logs, and equipment documentation.
- Implement and adhere to preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failure and unplanned downtime.
- Coordinate with other technicians, engineers, facility personnel, and contractors during maintenance and repair activities.
- Follow approved work permits, lockout/tagout procedures, and other site-specific safety requirements.
- Apply basic knowledge of electrical systems and control circuits when troubleshooting HVAC and cooling equipment.
- Follow HSE regulations and safety protocols when working with electrical systems, refrigerants, tools, machinery, and mechanical equipment.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain safe working practices.
- Keep tools, equipment, work areas, mechanical rooms, and cooling-system installations clean and organized.
- Respond promptly to cooling-system alarms, equipment faults, and emergency maintenance requirements.
- Perform other HVAC, refrigeration, cooling, and facility maintenance duties assigned by management.
