Qualifications:

  • Able to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest requests efficiently.
  • Able to remain calm and professional in a busy restaurant environment.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills with restaurant staff and management.
  • Physically fit and able to stand and move around the restaurant for extended periods.
  • Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and willing to follow company procedures.
  • Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Receive guests upon arrival and assist them with seating arrangements.
  • Manage guest seating according to restaurant procedures, table availability, and guest preferences.
  • Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and restaurant supervisors to ensure smooth service.
  • Manage reservations and maintain accurate records of scheduled bookings.
  • Provide guests with information about the restaurant, menu, seating arrangements, and available services.
  • Escort guests to their assigned tables and provide menus when required.
  • Monitor table availability and coordinate the seating of incoming guests efficiently.
  • Maintain an organized and accurate waiting list during busy periods.
  • Communicate estimated waiting times to guests professionally and courteously.
  • Respond appropriately to guest questions, requests, and concerns.
  • Coordinate special seating requests and communicate relevant guest requirements to service staff.
  • Monitor the dining area and ensure that guests are attended to promptly.
  • Assist restaurant staff during busy periods when additional support is required.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized host or reception area.
  • Handle guest information and reservation details professionally and confidentially.
  • Follow restaurant service standards, company policies, and workplace procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout the shift.
  • Report guest concerns, operational issues, or special requests to the supervisor.
  • Perform other customer service and restaurant duties assigned by management.
