Job Vacancy: HGV Mechanic

We are looking for HGV Mechanic with experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical components of heavy vehicles, carrying out routine servicing and inspections, interpreting technical manuals and schematics, and using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment, all while following safety compliant work practices.

HGV Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an HGV Mechanic
• Fully qualified HGV Mechanic
• Full clean driving licence (HGV licence is an advantage)
• Strong experience in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
• Experience in servicing and repairing HGVs and waste or commercial vehicles is an advantage
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in HGVs
• Service, repair, and maintain heavy goods and waste vehicles
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Prepare vehicles for CVRT testing and compliance checks
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment effectively
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to high standards
• Follow workshop procedures and safety regulations at all times
