Al Haramain Medical Complex is seeking a qualified and experienced Healthcare IT Operations Project Specialist to support healthcare technology, operational improvement, and digital transformation initiatives in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will coordinate and manage healthcare IT and operational projects, working closely with clinical, administrative, technical, and management teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with organizational requirements.
Healthcare IT Operations Project Specialist
Qualifications:
- 25 to 40 years old.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in healthcare operations, healthcare IT, or project management.
- Previous experience working in hospitals, medical centers, clinics, or other healthcare organizations is strongly preferred.
- Practical understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical systems, and administrative systems.
- Experience managing system implementation, digital transformation, healthcare IT, or operational improvement projects.
- Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project-management methodologies.
- Proficiency in project-management and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Microsoft Excel, or Power BI.
- Strong project planning, coordination, organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clinical, administrative, IT, management, and other project stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project activities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional, organized, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage healthcare IT operations and digital transformation projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and implementation timelines.
- Coordinate project activities among healthcare, IT, clinical, administrative, and management teams.
- Support the implementation, enhancement, and integration of healthcare information systems and digital solutions.
- Analyze existing healthcare workflows and identify opportunities for operational and technological improvements.
- Work with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate project requirements.
- Monitor project progress, deliverables, timelines, resources, and potential risks.
- Prepare project status reports, dashboards, presentations, and management updates.
- Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and potential delays, and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Apply Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid project-management methodologies according to project requirements.
- Coordinate system implementation, testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, project reviews, and stakeholder discussions.
- Ensure effective communication between technical teams and healthcare users throughout project implementation.
- Assist in process mapping, workflow analysis, and development of improved operational procedures.
- Monitor project performance against approved objectives, scope, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, action items, risk registers, and progress reports.
- Use project-management and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI as appropriate.
- Prepare data-driven reports and dashboards to support project monitoring and management decision-making.
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants, technology providers, and other external stakeholders when required.
- Support change-management activities and assist healthcare staff in adapting to new systems, processes, and technologies.
- Ensure project activities comply with organizational policies, healthcare requirements, and applicable procedures.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented systems and operational improvements and recommend further enhancements.
- Escalate significant project risks, technical issues, resource constraints, and operational concerns to appropriate management.
- Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of healthcare and organizational information.
- Perform other project-management, healthcare IT, and operational improvement duties assigned by management.
