Universal Cold Store Company is seeking an experienced Hatchery Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hatchery, ensuring efficient chick production while maintaining the highest standards of biosecurity, animal welfare, quality, and operational performance. The successful candidate will lead hatchery personnel, optimize production processes, and coordinate closely with poultry farms, veterinary teams, and production departments.

Qualifications:

• Male applicants only.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in hatchery operations management or poultry production supervision.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in hatchery operations and poultry production.
• Familiarity with hatcheries, poultry production, feed mills, processing plants, or related agricultural operations.
• Knowledge of incubation processes, hatchery equipment, biosecurity, chick handling, vaccination, and poultry health management.
• Strong leadership, planning, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team management abilities.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and supervise all hatchery operations, including egg receiving, storage, incubation, hatching, chick processing, vaccination, and dispatch.
• Monitor hatchability, chick quality, production performance, and operational efficiency to achieve production targets.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of incubators, hatchers, ventilation systems, and hatchery equipment.
• Implement and monitor strict biosecurity, sanitation, hygiene, and disease prevention programs throughout hatchery operations.
• Coordinate with breeder farms, poultry production teams, veterinary staff, feed mill personnel, and logistics departments to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Supervise, train, evaluate, and motivate hatchery employees while promoting safe working practices and operational excellence.
• Monitor environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, ventilation, and egg handling procedures to maximize hatchability.
• Analyze hatchery production data, prepare operational reports, and recommend improvements to increase productivity and reduce losses.
• Ensure compliance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs), animal welfare guidelines, workplace safety regulations, and quality management systems.
• Manage inventory of hatchery supplies, vaccines, disinfectants, and consumables while coordinating procurement requirements.
• Support preventive maintenance scheduling by coordinating with maintenance personnel to ensure continuous equipment reliability.
• Perform other hatchery management duties assigned by senior management.
