GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in general building or facility maintenance.
• Holder of a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in a related technical field or equivalent.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across multiple building systems.
• Ability to interpret building blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and facility management practices.
• Good problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual maintenance work.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect buildings, facilities, and equipment to identify maintenance and repair requirements.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Plan and organize repair work using building blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and building systems.
• Repair or replace defective fixtures, equipment, lighting, doors, locks, windows, ceilings, and other building components.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure building systems are functioning efficiently.
• Perform carpentry, painting, minor masonry, and general repair work as needed.
• Install, assemble, and maintain facility equipment and fixtures.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
• Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and completed work orders.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and maintenance materials.
• Coordinate with supervisors or contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance work areas.
• Comply with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform other maintenance and facility support duties assigned by management.
