Furniture Carpenter

 Qualifications:

• Proven experience in furniture assembly and installation.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking and furniture finishing techniques.
• Skilled in using woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and furniture plans.
• Experience in assembling, fitting, and installing custom furniture.
• Knowledge of sanding, staining, polishing, painting, and other finishing methods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual carpentry work.

Responsibilities:

• Manufacture, assemble, and install wooden furniture, including cabinets, wardrobes, office furniture, tables, chairs, shelves, doors, and custom-built units.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and furniture specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble wood and wood-based materials accurately.
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools such as table saws, routers, planers, sanders, drills, and nail guns safely.
• Install furniture, cabinets, and fixtures on-site according to project requirements.
• Perform wood finishing tasks, including sanding, staining, polishing, varnishing, painting, and laminate application.
• Inspect completed furniture to ensure quality, proper alignment, and accurate dimensions.
• Repair, modify, and restore damaged or existing furniture when required.
• Select appropriate materials, hardware, fittings, adhesives, and finishing products.
• Maintain woodworking tools, machinery, and equipment in good operating condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Coordinate with supervisors and production teams to complete projects on schedule.
• Perform other carpentry and furniture production duties assigned by management.
