FOREMAN MECHANIC
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience.
- Candidates must be at least a High School Graduate.
- Extensive experience in mechanical maintenance, heavy equipment, crane maintenance, or related industrial equipment.
- Strong knowledge of crane mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, gearboxes, brakes, bearings, and other heavy equipment components.
- Proven ability to diagnose complex mechanical faults and supervise repair activities.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to manage mechanics and maintenance personnel.
- Ability to plan, assign, monitor, and evaluate mechanical maintenance work.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, technical specifications, and maintenance procedures.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with supervisors, operators, electricians, and other technical personnel.
- Physically fit and capable of working in demanding industrial and maintenance environments.
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety, equipment safety, and proper maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements.
- Reliable, disciplined, responsible, and committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead mechanics and maintenance personnel in daily mechanical repair and maintenance activities.
- Plan, assign, and monitor mechanical maintenance tasks according to work schedules and operational requirements.
- Inspect cranes, heavy equipment, and mechanical systems to identify defects, wear, damage, and maintenance requirements.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and equipment-related problems and determine appropriate repair procedures.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of cranes and related lifting equipment.
- Supervise the inspection, repair, replacement, and installation of mechanical components.
- Monitor the condition of engines, transmissions, gearboxes, brakes, bearings, shafts, couplings, hydraulic systems, and other crane components.
- Ensure proper inspection and maintenance of hydraulic pumps, cylinders, hoses, valves, and fittings.
- Supervise lubrication, greasing, adjustment, alignment, tightening, and other routine mechanical maintenance activities.
- Review and follow equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, maintenance procedures, and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure that mechanics use appropriate tools, equipment, and spare parts correctly and safely.
- Inspect completed repair work and verify that equipment is properly restored before returning it to service.
- Coordinate crane breakdown response and ensure timely troubleshooting and repairs.
- Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure that required maintenance activities are completed on time.
- Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend appropriate corrective or preventive measures.
- Coordinate with crane electricians, crane operators, supervisors, and other technical personnel.
- Monitor the availability and proper use of mechanical spare parts, tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and parts used.
- Prepare and submit maintenance reports and communicate major mechanical issues to management.
- Ensure that all mechanical work complies with company procedures, equipment safety requirements, and applicable workplace regulations.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and provide workers with appropriate instructions before maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
- Identify workplace hazards and take appropriate measures to prevent accidents and equipment damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop and maintenance area.
- Train, guide, and support mechanics in proper maintenance and repair procedures.
- Evaluate completed work and provide feedback to maintenance personnel when necessary.
- Perform other supervisory and mechanical maintenance duties assigned by management.
