Peloton Workready Pty. Ltd is seeking experienced Fibre Rope Splicers / Marine Rope Splicers / Synthetic Rope Splicers for onshore opportunities with established Australian employers. The successful candidates will be responsible for splicing, assembling, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining fibre composite rope systems used in marine, lifting, rigging, and industrial applications while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

FIBRE ROPE SPLICER / MARINE ROPE SPLICER / SYNTHETIC ROPE SPLICER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fibre Composite Technician, Fibre Rope Splicer, or similar role.
  • Proven experience in splicing 3-strand, 8-strand, 12-strand, and braided fibre rope products.
  • Skilled in measuring, cutting, and assembling fibre composite rigging according to engineered drawings.
  • Knowledge of synthetic fibre composite rope splicing, cordage, and marine rigging equipment.
  • Understanding of rope and rigging terminology.
  • Ability to calculate raw material requirements and interpret manufacturing job cards.
  • Ability to interpret technical information, work scopes, and engineered drawings related to fibre composite ropes, mooring, rigging, and anchoring products.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform splicing of various fibre rope products, including 3-strand, 8-strand, 12-strand, and braided fibre ropes.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and prepare fibre composite rigging components according to engineered drawings and specifications.
  • Perform rope terminations, repairs, and modifications as required.
  • Assemble anchors, buoyancy systems, and rope assemblies according to approved engineering requirements.
  • Inspect fibre ropes, rigging equipment, and related components to ensure quality and safety compliance.
  • Interpret technical drawings, manufacturing job cards, and work instructions.
  • Calculate raw material requirements for rope and rigging assemblies.
  • Apply knowledge of synthetic fibre composite ropes, cordage, and marine rigging equipment.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and efficient condition.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures and industry standards.
  • Perform other rope splicing and rigging duties as assigned by the employer.
