Australian Skilled Migration is seeking a qualified Electrician to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment in oil and gas facilities, ensuring compliance with Australian industry standards, safety regulations, and operational requirements.
ELECTRICIAN
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years working experience as an Electrician in an Oil and Gas Industry/Company.
- At least 1 year of college education.
- Experience in industrial, mining, or oil and gas projects.
- Knowledge of hazardous area (HA) installations.
- Ability to work in remote locations and rotating shift schedules.
- Australian electrical qualifications or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and compliance requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical diagrams.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in oil and gas facilities.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform preventive maintenance activities.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Install cable trays, conduits, wiring systems, lighting fixtures, and control panels.
- Test electrical systems and equipment using specialized diagnostic tools and instruments.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with Australian safety standards, codes, and regulations.
- Maintain generators, motors, transformers, switchboards, and hazardous area equipment.
- Support plant shutdowns, commissioning activities, and maintenance operations.
- Follow strict safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, isolation procedures, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
- Work in offshore facilities, remote locations, or FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) project environments as required.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure project completion.
- Prepare maintenance reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.
