Electrician and Mechanical

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Knowledgeable in operating electric motors, generators, relays, solenoids, and actuators.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electromechanical Engineering is an advantage.
• A relevant professional engineering license is an advantage.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits, controls, motors, generators, and electromechanical components.
• Ability to inspect and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance procedures and equipment safety.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work effectively under pressure and respond appropriately to equipment problems and breakdowns.
• Physically capable of performing hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance work.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a technical maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor electrical and electromechanical equipment, including electric motors, generators, relays, solenoids, and actuators.
• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Check electrical and mechanical systems to identify faults, defects, abnormal operation, or potential equipment failures.
• Diagnose electrical and electromechanical problems and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, generators, relays, solenoids, actuators, and related equipment.
• Inspect electrical connections, wiring, components, controls, and mechanical assemblies for proper operation.
• Test electrical and electromechanical components using appropriate testing tools and instruments.
• Repair, replace, adjust, or reinstall defective electrical and mechanical components when required.
• Monitor equipment performance and report unusual sounds, overheating, vibration, electrical faults, or other operating concerns.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, adjustment, and testing of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Follow equipment manuals, technical instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety requirements.
• Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, electrical testing instruments, and maintenance equipment safely.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, equipment issues, and replaced components.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, technicians, and other personnel during maintenance and repair activities.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance concerns to minimize operational disruptions.
• Keep tools, equipment, work areas, and maintenance facilities clean and organized.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Identify potential electrical or mechanical hazards and report them to the supervisor.
• Perform basic mechanical adjustments and maintenance tasks related to electromechanical equipment.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Perform other electrical, mechanical, maintenance, and technical duties assigned by management.
