GLL Immigration Inc. is seeking skilled Electrical Test Technicians to join its team in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning industrial control panels and electrical systems while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and electrical safety regulations. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in industrial electrical manufacturing, automation, electrical testing, and control panel assembly.

Electrical Test Technician

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess one of the following or an equivalent qualification:

• Diploma in Electromechanics
• Industrial Electrical Diploma
• Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma
• Electrical Engineering Degree
• Equivalent technical education

International Equivalent Qualifications:

We particularly welcome candidates holding qualifications such as:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
• Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSECE)
• Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering
• Diploma in Electrical Technology
• Associate Degree in Electrical Technology
• TESDA Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II or NC III
• TESDA Mechatronics Servicing NC II or NC III
• Equivalent qualifications in Industrial Electrical Technology, Automation or Mechatronics

Experience:

We are looking for candidates with 4 to 5 years of experience in one or more of the following fields:

• Industrial control panel manufacturing
• Industrial electrical wiring
• Electrical testing
• Industrial automation
• Electrical assembly
• Commissioning
• Industrial electrical maintenance

Technical Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Proficiency with electrical measuring instruments.
• Good knowledge of industrial electrical components.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities:

Electrical Wiring

• Perform electrical wiring and final connections of industrial control panels.
• Install and connect electrical components according to engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Wire terminal blocks, relays, power supplies, contactors, PLCs, variable frequency drives and other electrical devices.
• Perform wire termination and identification.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with manufacturing standards.

Electrical Testing

• Perform final electrical tests including continuity, insulation resistance, functional and safety tests.
• Safely energize completed control panels.
• Verify the proper operation of electrical circuits and components.
• Confirm compliance with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Use electrical measuring instruments such as multimeters, insulation testers and continuity testers.

Troubleshooting

• Identify wiring errors, defective components and electrical faults.
• Correct issues whenever possible.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to resolve non-conformities.

Documentation

• Complete testing reports and quality documentation.
• Record non-conformities.
• Follow company procedures and electrical safety standards.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
