ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Experience in large-scale construction projects is required.
- Strong practical experience in supervising electrical construction and installation activities.
- Experience with cabling, cable trays, cable termination, switchgear, lighting systems, transformers, and electrical equipment installation.
- Good knowledge of electrical construction methods, installation practices, and site procedures.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, layouts, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong manpower management and team supervision skills.
- Ability to assign work, monitor productivity, and maintain efficient workforce coordination.
- Experience coordinating electrical works with mechanical, piping, civil, instrumentation, and other construction disciplines.
- Ability to monitor project progress and provide accurate reports to the Site Engineer.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electrical construction issues.
- Strong understanding of construction-site safety requirements and safe electrical work practices.
- Ability to enforce proper PPE use and compliance with approved safety procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project schedules and deadlines.
- Reliable, disciplined, proactive, and capable of working independently while coordinating effectively with the project team.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate electrical construction activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and project schedules.
- Oversee the installation of electrical cables, cable trays, conduits, and related electrical systems.
- Supervise cable pulling, routing, dressing, identification, and installation activities.
- Monitor and supervise cable termination and connection works, ensuring proper installation and workmanship.
- Oversee the installation and connection of switchgear, electrical panels, transformers, lighting systems, and other electrical equipment.
- Review electrical drawings, layouts, specifications, and installation details before and during construction activities.
- Ensure electrical installations are properly aligned, secured, connected, and completed according to project requirements.
- Manage and allocate electrical manpower based on daily work requirements and project priorities.
- Assign tasks to electricians, technicians, and other workers and monitor their productivity and performance.
- Monitor daily electrical construction progress and ensure activities remain on schedule.
- Coordinate with the Site Engineer regarding work progress, technical issues, manpower requirements, materials, and site conditions.
- Prepare and submit daily progress updates and reports to the Site Engineer.
- Coordinate electrical activities with mechanical, piping, civil, instrumentation, and other disciplines to avoid work conflicts and delays.
- Ensure electrical works are properly coordinated with equipment installation and other construction activities.
- Monitor the availability and proper use of electrical materials, tools, equipment, and manpower.
- Inspect completed electrical works and identify defects, incomplete installations, or deviations from approved requirements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC personnel regarding inspections, testing, and rectification of electrical works.
- Assist in electrical testing and pre-commissioning activities as required by the project.
- Monitor electrical installation quality and ensure work is performed using approved methods and procedures.
- Identify construction problems and coordinate appropriate corrective actions with the Site Engineer and project team.
- Ensure all electrical workers follow approved health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Conduct or participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and job-related safety discussions.
- Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers under supervision.
- Identify unsafe working conditions and practices and take appropriate corrective action.
- Ensure proper housekeeping in electrical work areas and maintain safe storage of tools and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical construction activities, manpower, materials, inspections, and progress.
- Provide technical guidance and supervision to electricians and electrical technicians.
- Ensure assigned electrical works are completed within the required project schedule and quality standards.
- Perform other electrical supervision and site-related duties assigned by management.
