Aureol Global Connections is currently seeking highly skilled Electrical Instrumentation Technicians for deployment to Ireland. The successful candidate will perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and instrumentation support within heavy engineering and fixed plant environments.

Electrical Instrumentation Technician

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in electrical maintenance or installation within a fixed plant environment.
  • Experience in heavy engineering industries is preferred.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in motor control circuits.
  • Experience working with HV motors and HV switchgear.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in industrial and plant environments.
  • Responsible, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance or engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems within industrial plants.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, PLC systems, motors, and control circuits.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of HV motors, HV switchgear, and related electrical systems.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions efficiently.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Support plant operations by ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.
  • Assist in PLC troubleshooting and control system maintenance using Allen Bradley and Siemens systems.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and operational standards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition.
  • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and maintenance teams regarding repair schedules and operational requirements.
