ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Strong expertise in power transformers, bus ducts, LV/MV switchgear, cabling, cable trays, and lighting system installations.
- Extensive practical experience in electrical installation and construction works.
- Ability to independently plan and execute electrical installation works.
- Strong knowledge of electrical equipment installation, distribution systems, cabling, and electrical construction practices.
- Experience with power transformer installation and associated electrical connections.
- Experience with LV/MV switchgear and bus duct installation.
- Strong practical knowledge of cable pulling, routing, termination, identification, and cable tray installation.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, or large-scale construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong site supervision, manpower management, and task coordination skills.
- Ability to coordinate electrical works with mechanical, instrumentation, piping, civil, and other disciplines.
- Good understanding of electrical testing, inspection, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of construction-site safety requirements and safe electrical work practices.
- Ability to ensure compliance with approved safety, quality, and installation procedures.
- Experience preparing progress reports and maintaining electrical project documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with engineers, supervisors, technicians, contractors, and other project personnel.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute electrical installation works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and project schedules.
- Independently plan and execute electrical installation activities from preparation through completion.
- Supervise day-to-day electrical construction and installation activities at the project site.
- Oversee the installation of power transformers, including positioning, connections, associated equipment, and installation requirements.
- Supervise the installation of bus duct systems, ensuring proper alignment, support, connections, and workmanship.
- Oversee installation and connection of LV/MV switchgear, panels, and electrical distribution equipment.
- Supervise electrical cabling works, including cable routing, pulling, dressing, identification, and termination.
- Monitor the installation of cable trays, supports, conduits, and associated cable-management systems.
- Supervise installation of lighting systems, including fixtures, conduits, cables, supports, and related electrical components.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Ensure electrical installations are completed accurately and according to approved drawings and project requirements.
- Verify proper equipment positioning, cable routing, connections, terminations, and installation workmanship.
- Coordinate electrical activities with mechanical, instrumentation, piping, civil, and other disciplines to prevent conflicts and delays.
- Monitor the availability and proper use of electrical materials, tools, equipment, and manpower.
- Assign tasks and provide technical guidance to electricians, technicians, and other electrical personnel.
- Monitor daily electrical work progress and ensure assigned activities remain on schedule.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and other progress reports covering completed activities, manpower, materials, and outstanding works.
- Coordinate with the Site Engineer, project engineers, supervisors, QA/QC personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding technical and site matters.
- Conduct inspections of completed electrical installations and identify defects, incomplete works, or deviations.
- Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for required inspections, testing, and quality documentation.
- Assist in electrical testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities as required.
- Verify that electrical equipment and installations are properly tested before energization or handover.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical installation problems and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with approved safety and quality standards, procedures, and project requirements.
- Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and site coordination meetings.
- Monitor proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices by electrical personnel.
- Identify unsafe conditions and take appropriate corrective action to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical installation activities, inspections, testing, materials, and progress.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe storage of electrical tools, equipment, cables, and materials.
- Provide technical support and guidance to electrical technicians and site personnel.
- Coordinate corrective works and ensure identified installation deficiencies are properly rectified.
- Ensure assigned electrical works are completed within required project schedules and quality standards.
- Perform other electrical engineering, supervision, installation, and site-related duties assigned by management.
