Our employer Franklin Smith Limited is in need of the following:

Drainlaying Labourer

Qualifications:

• Experience in drainlaying, civil labouring, or construction site work.
• Knowledge of large bore pipe installation, trenching, and civil site conditions.
• Exposure to HDPE butt welding, electrofusion, or water mains installation is an advantage.
• Ability to read and work from civil drawings and plans.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in outdoor and demanding site environments.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in drainage and water mains installation on civil construction sites.
• Support large bore pipe installation, deep trenching, and shoring activities.
• Assist Water Mains Installers in HDPE pipe welding, electrofusion, and related tasks.
• Perform site preparation, excavation support, and general labouring duties.
• Read and follow civil drawings and construction plans as required.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support pressure testing, commissioning, and tie-in works when needed.
• Work collaboratively with site supervisors and tradespeople to meet project deadlines.
