Safe Track Contracting Company (STCE) is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment and diesel-powered vehicles used in construction and industrial operations. The successful candidates will perform preventive maintenance, major repairs, engine overhauls, and troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and maximum operational efficiency.

DIESEL MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Strong experience maintaining and repairing cranes, excavators, loaders, bulldozers, trucks, generators, and other heavy equipment.
• Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, engine overhauls, and major mechanical repairs independently.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and heavy equipment maintenance.
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, technical drawings, and equipment specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding construction and industrial environments.
• Gulf experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered heavy equipment and vehicles, including cranes, excavators, loaders, bulldozers, trucks, generators, and similar machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance services according to manufacturer specifications and company maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, cooling, transmission, and engine-related faults using diagnostic equipment and testing tools.
• Carry out engine overhauls, major repairs, component replacement, and equipment rebuilding independently.
• Repair and service diesel engines, gearboxes, braking systems, steering systems, suspension, hydraulic systems, and powertrain components.
• Conduct breakdown repairs both in the workshop and at field sites when required.
• Inspect equipment to identify wear, damage, and potential mechanical failures before they become major issues.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with performance standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and repair documentation.
• Order or recommend replacement parts and materials as required.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Coordinate with supervisors and equipment operators to minimize equipment downtime.
• Perform other mechanical maintenance duties assigned by management.
