Blokhaus Recruitment is hiring experienced Diesel Mechanics for its transport and automotive maintenance operations in New Zealand. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy vehicles to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of fleet equipment.

DIESEL MECHANIC

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants only.
  • Below 45 years old.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must hold a valid passport.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing mechanical and field repair work.
  • Willing to work in workshop and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose faults and perform repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
  • Inspect, test, and replace defective engine components and mechanical systems.
  • Perform routine servicing including oil changes, brake checks, and engine tuning.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records and maintenance reports.
  • Respond to breakdowns and provide roadside or workshop support when required.
  • Keep workshop tools and equipment in proper working condition.

Requirements:

  • Passport copy
  • Vaccine Card
  • Transcript of record and diploma (if college or vocational of 1year)
  • Form 137 and diploma (high school)
  • Employment certificate (for all company stated in your resume)
  • Other supporting documents available
  • Updated resume
