CONTRACT MANAGER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in contract management, contract administration, commercial management, or a related construction/engineering field.
- Must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Others), or a similar field.
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, industrial, or contracting projects.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, contractual obligations, variations, claims, and commercial documentation.
- Ability to review and interpret contracts, technical specifications, drawings, project schedules, and related documents.
- Knowledge of construction project procedures and commercial practices.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to identify contractual risks and manage potential claims and disputes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and project management teams.
- Strong organizational and document-control skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet contractual and project deadlines.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a construction and project environment, including site visits when required.
- Responsible, reliable, professional, and capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer project contracts from commencement through completion.
- Review contract agreements, specifications, drawings, schedules, and other contractual documents.
- Ensure that project activities comply with contractual terms, conditions, specifications, and approved requirements.
- Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, milestones, and deadlines.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and project management teams regarding contractual matters.
- Provide guidance to project teams on contract requirements, procedures, and obligations.
- Review and evaluate variations, change orders, additional works, and scope changes.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contractual correspondence, notices, and commercial documentation.
- Monitor and manage claims, extensions of time, delays, disruptions, and other contractual issues.
- Assist in preparing contractual claims and supporting documentation based on project records and contractual provisions.
- Review payment applications, valuations, invoices, and other commercial submissions as required.
- Monitor project costs, commitments, and commercial performance in coordination with the commercial and finance teams.
- Ensure timely submission of notices and contractual communications to protect the company’s contractual position.
- Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, correspondence, variations, claims, approvals, and other relevant documents.
- Review subcontract agreements and monitor subcontractor compliance with contractual obligations.
- Assist in resolving contractual disputes and commercial disagreements between project parties.
- Identify potential contractual risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Monitor changes in project scope, design, schedule, and site conditions that may affect contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with quantity surveyors, planning engineers, cost control personnel, and other technical teams on commercial and contractual matters.
- Participate in contract review meetings, progress meetings, negotiations, and project discussions.
- Prepare contractual status reports and provide management with updates on claims, variations, risks, and other contract matters.
- Ensure proper document control and revision management for contractual records.
- Support project management in negotiations with clients, consultants, suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, project procedures, applicable contractual requirements, and professional standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of contracts, commercial information, and project documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Perform other contract management, commercial, and project administration duties assigned by management.
